colocalisation suggests that the 2 traits likely share the same causal SNP. However, in complex traits, horizontal pleiotropy could occur at one the intermediate phenotypes along the causal pathways from the SNP to the trait (which is what MR-Egger intercept will pick up)

Coloc reduces the risk of horizontal pleiotropy (specifically due to LD), but doesn’t rule that out, which would be the case here
