I am Jacob A. Ayembilla from Accra Technical University, Ghana. I am glad to be at ISG 2026. Hope to connect and learn from faculty and colleague students.
Hello! I am Katri, a researcher from the neuropsychiatric genomics team from Estonian Biobank. Although, I have a background in genetic epidemiology, on this rapidly developing field you never stop learning. Looking forward to the workshop to meet all the 280+ possible future collaborators and to get lots of new knowledge!
Greetings everyone! I am Kristonn, I’m a 2nd year PhD Criminal Justice student at the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!). My research area is within biosocial criminology where I focus on the use of polygenic risk scores to understand how genetics play a role in the development of adverse phenotypic expressions (e.g., externalizing behavior). Super excited to work alongside you all.
Hi, I’m Kristen. I’m a 3rd year PhD student in Sarah Medland’s group at QIMR Berghofer, in Brisbane, Australia. My PhD explores genetics and environmental risk factors for depression and bipolar disorder. I look forward to working with you all (in Session B).
Good day everyone, I’m Ofure a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry. I’m looking forward to an exciting time of learning and connecting with you all ![]()
Hello, I am Stephen, a professor of psychology at The Ohio State University. I been researching in the field of behavioral genetics (particularly reading and math disability) for quite awhile but have a graduate student attending the workshop so decided to attend myself. Look forward to meeting you all!
Hello everyone! I am Pietro 1st year PhD student at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior in the Netherlands, working within the Neuroimaging and genetics for mental health group. I am excited to learn more about extended twin and family designs and to connect with like-minded colleagues in the field of behavioral genetics.
Hi all, I’m Danae, a PhD student in Neuroscience at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I work with risk factors for neurodevelopmental disorders (prenatal infections and circadian disruption) in mice and translate the findings to calculate expression-based polygenic scores in human databases. Looking forward to this course with you all :)
Hi everyone! I’m Juan, a lecturer at the University of Murcia, Spain. My main research area is sleep, and I’m also very interested in behavioral genetics and quantitative genetic methods.
I’m really excited to join ISG 2026. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Hi everyone, I’m Emiliana, a postdoc at the Brain and Mind Centre, The University of Sydney. My work focuses on circadian rhythms and mood disorders in young people. I’m excited to learn more about statistical genetics and apply it to my research. Looking forward to meeting you all!
Hi! I am Evgeniia, a researcher from the University of Oslo (Centre for Precision Psychiatry). I have a background in molecular biology, and have been working with psychiatric genetics for a while. Moved to statistical genetics some years ago. Looking forward to meeting everyone! :)
Hi everyone! I’m Liv, a PhD student at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. My research is predominantly about environmental and genetic risk factors of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. Excited to learn a lot and connect!
My name is Alvaro Obeso I’m a postdoctoral research in the University of Helsinki. I have worked with some people giving this course and my research is focused on twin studies, more concretely on BMI change and fluctuation. But I also have another papers using different anthropometric measures (i.e. birth size measures). This course is an opportunity for me to acquire higher knowledge on different genetic related studies (such as GWAS and PGS or twin models).
Hi everyone, I am Jojo. I work in epidemiological genetics at the Danish Cancer Institute in the hematology group.
Hello Everyone! My name is Rita. I am a PhD student in Translational Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh. I work in neuroimaging genetics, specifically within the context of neuropsychiatric and cognitive ageing epidemiology. Looking forward to this course and meeting you all !!
Hi! My name is Sima. I’m a pediatric allergist & pulmonologist and an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin. I have a K08 award from the NHLBI. My Aim 1 is to identify SNPs associated with preschool-onset asthma. I am taking this class as part of my training for the K08 and to gain the skills to complete Aim 1. I’m looking forward to this class and meeting you all virtually!
Hi everyone, my name is Gisele. I am a psychologist and currently a postdoctoral researcher at Akershus University Hospital and the University of Oslo. I am looking forward to meeting you all and learning together!
Hii, I am Urvi, a Ph.D student at Gujarat Biotechnology University. Looking forward to this course.
Hello everyone, I am Ariana Marquez Gonzalez. I am a Neuroscience grad student at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. I am in Stein lab, and I use human iPSC-derived cortical organoids to study gene-by-environment interactions in the context of neuropsychiatric disorders. Excited to meet and learn with all of you!
Hello, I’m Elizabeth, a postdoc working in Dr. Neda Jahanshad’s lab. Looking forward to this workshop!
