Sorry I understand what you are saying now. There’s a number of different flavours of estimator here. Simple, Weighted, Assumptions regarding the presence or absence of measurement error in the SNP-exposure association etc- there’s no hard reason why this one chosen- ideally you want them all sending the same general message. if that not the case, then there could be problems.
