# Credible Sets and Number of Causal Variants

How do you decide how many SNPs to allow in your credible set? I see that we can manual set that #

You may be looking at the number of causal variants, that’s the number you can set. But usually you can’t directly set the number of allowed SNPs in the credible sets. The credible sets are determined by the threshold, like 0.95 or 0.99.
